NBA 2K26 Attribute Descriptions

Understand how each attribute in NBA 2K26 impacts your player's performance on the court. This guide breaks down every rating from Finishing to Defense.

Close Shot
Boosts the ability to make shots (non-dunk/layup) within 10 feet of the basket, especially effective against defensive contests.
Driving Layup
Increases the ability to finish layups effectively while driving to the basket, including navigating through traffic and absorbing contact.
Driving Dunk
Determines a player's ability to perform dunks in traffic and on fast breaks. Higher ratings unlock more athletic and contact dunk animations.
Standing Dunk
Improves a player's ability to perform dunks while standing under the basket, crucial for bigs on offensive rebounds and post moves.
Post Control
Affects the success of post moves, spins, and drop-steps. A higher rating also helps protect the ball from being stolen in the post.

Mid-Range Shot
Boosts the ability to make open and contested jump shots taken from inside the three-point line but outside of the close-shot range.
Three-Point Shot
Increases a player's accuracy when shooting from beyond the three-point arc. Higher ratings reduce the impact of defensive contests.

Offensive Rebound
Determines a player's effectiveness at getting rebounds on the offensive end of the court, creating second-chance opportunities.
Defensive Rebound
Improves a player's ability to secure rebounds on the defensive end, which is key to preventing second-chance points and starting fast breaks.
